Torbay Council is providing a boost for creative businesses in Devon which are invited to take part in a government-funded support scheme to help them to grow and succeed.
The Devon Create Growth Programme is being delivered by Creative UK in partnership with Torbay Council. Funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the programme is open to any Devon-based business with creativity at its heart and a strong ambition to grow and improve its business performance.
This includes businesses in advertising and marketing; architecture; crafts; design and designer fashion; film, TV, video, radio and photography; IT, software and computer services; publishing; museums, galleries and libraries; music, performing and visual arts.
Programmes for creative businesses in Devon
There are two support programmes available: a six-month programme aimed at supporting creatives with a new or emerging business; and a nine-month programme for businesses who are ambitious about commercial models, growth and investment.
Both programmes are completely free for participating businesses. The programmes focus on helping creative businesses to build sustainably and commercially and provide plenty of in-person opportunities and flexible online sessions or drops-ins.
Applications for the Devon Create Growth Programme are now open and close on 1st April 2024 (for the six-month programme) and 4th March (for the nine-month programme). For more information and to apply, visit Devon Create Growth Programme – Creative UK (wearecreative.uk)
