Edworthy media marks 20 years of digital innovation – a Devon success story with national reach

Edworthy Media celebrates its 20th Anniversary this August, 2025. The company has grown from its Devon base to become a UK leader with local roots. Discover Paul Edworthy’s success story which includes two decades of digital innovation, sustainable hosting and business growth.

Edworthy Media - 20th Anniversary Team shot

Founded on 1st August, 2005, Edworthy Media is the brain child of serial entrepreneur, Paul Edworthy. The company has grown from a solo IT consultancy into a group of companies with a national client base and a strong regional presence in Devon and Cornwall.

The Edworthy Group includes Edworthy Media and Technology Ltd, Dynamic Servers Ltd and The Wine Dealer Ltd. Collectively, they showcase how a Devon-grown company can lead in marketing, hosting and even e-commerce while staying deeply rooted in community and values.

Paul explains that the focus has always been on relationships and long-term results. The team supports clients not just with digital tools, but with strategic thinking that helps them grow and thrive. Over the years, Edworthy Media has become known across the UK for its quality in web design, SEO, PPC, branding, social media and video marketing.

From early ambition to entrepreneurial impact

Paul’s journey began in the village of Bow near Crediton, working from age 13 in the family transport business, RWT Edworthy & Sons. He later trained as an HGV mechanic, gaining hands-on experience in the logistics sector. However, it was the arrival of a second-hand computer in the early 2000s that sparked a fascination with IT and marketing.

In 2005, Paul launched Edworthy Computing, initially providing IT support. By 2008, the business had incorporated, and in 2012 Paul began pivoting toward digital marketing. He earned a BA (Hons) in Leadership and Management from the Open University in 2017 while running the business and raising a family. In 2022, the company rebranded as Edworthy Media and Technology Ltd to reflect its modern digital direction.

Edworthy Media across the years

Greener hosting and faster websites with Dynamic Servers

One of the Group’s standout achievements is the success of Dynamic Servers Ltd, founded in 2017. The company was launched in response to poor performance from mainstream hosting providers, which were affecting clients’ SEO rankings. Paul and his team decided to build their own high-speed, carbon-negative hosting platform powered entirely by renewable energy.

Now serving over 250 websites across the UK, Dynamic Servers offers high performance and a smaller carbon footprint. The infrastructure is designed to support fast-loading websites, which is critical for both user experience and search engine visibility.

The Wine Dealer – bringing luxury e-commerce to Devon

In 2022, Paul launched The Wine Dealer Ltd, blending his digital expertise with his passion for fine wine. The business now includes a wine club, an e-commerce platform, and regular tastings held across the South West. Paul has since become a qualified WSET wine expert and published author, with his book The Wine Code – Wine Complexities Made Simple released in 2025.

The Wine Dealer offers a curated experience that combines education and enjoyment. The business continues to grow its reach while proudly showcasing Devon as a base for premium online ventures.

Edworthy Media – flagship of the Edworthy Group

Edworthy Media may be based in Bow, but its impact is felt far beyond Devon. In 2025, the Group acquired First Class Web Design in Cornwall, bringing in 35 new clients. The company’s portfolio includes clients from across the UK, supported by a growing in-house team of specialists in design, content, social media and digital infrastructure.

Paul continues to support the local business community through active involvement in BNI, FSB, BITA and The Sporting Club. He credits much of the company’s success to its strong network and commitment to service.

The Group is planning to mark the 20th anniversary with a special open day or charity event in Bow this September, inviting clients and community members to join the celebration.

Promoting growth and sustainability in the South West

While Edworthy Media has national reach, it remains committed to the South West. The business champions sustainable technology, creative marketing and personal service, a model that proves Devon can lead the way in modern digital enterprise.

Paul says the company’s focus is on supporting clients so they can concentrate on what matters most in their businesses. That approach, rooted in trust and expertise, has been at the heart of Edworthy Media’s success story for two decades.
